Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) is a key university directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is the only university in New China named after "language" and is dedicated to the mission of spreading Chinese language and culture, often referred to as the "Little United Nations." Since its establishment, BLCU has developed into a world-renowned university with a focus on international Chinese education, strengths in language education and research, and a balanced development across multiple disciplines. Minister Huai Jinpeng encouraged the university to continue building a high ground for the internationalization of higher education in China, with a focus on the coordinated development of multiple disciplines.
